Context
The client manages a diverse ecosystem of industrial control touchpanels and mobile companion apps for building automation, running on the Climatix platform.
Challenge
Legacy UIs suffered from fragmented UX patterns, poor performance on low-power hardware, and high maintenance costs due to code duplication between web and mobile.
Goal
Implement a unified, performance-first design system based on Siemens IX standards across Angular (Web/HMI) and Flutter (Mobile) applications.
The Solution
Standardizing interaction with Siemens IX.
Design System Implementation
We adapted the Siemens IX design system web components for Angular and created a matching widget library for Flutter.
Cross-Platform Architecture
Built a shared logic layer using Firebase for real-time state synchronization between the HMI panels (Angular) and field operator tablets (Flutter).
Performance Engineering
Optimized Angular change detection for low-spec touchpanels and utilized Flutter’s Skia engine for 60fps animations on mobile.
